Senate Passes Budget Resolution, Includes Oral Health Amendment

The United States Senate today passed a Concurrent Resolution on the Budget for Fiscal Year 2014 by a vote of 50-49. Included in this resolution was a deficit-neutral amendment introduced by Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) and co-sponsored by Senator Martin Heinrich (D-NM), that expands the resolution's children's health fund to include a focus on improving the oral health of children with Medicaid through innovative, prevention-focused disease management approaches.
